About the author
Guillermo Munro is an award winning author, with five
published novels, written several screen plays, and
hundreds of stories and essays about the desert where
he has lived most of his life. He is known as the Historian
of Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, the Gran Desierto and the
Sea of Cortez, where he lives.  
His books includes Las Voces Vienen del Mar (First
Prize winner for best novel 1992 - now been translated to
English), Los Sufrimientos de Puerto Esperanza (2nd
Prize winner for best novel 1994), Camino del diablo
(1997) and the thriller No me da miedo morir (2003), sold
to Silver Lion Films in October 2005, and Regreso a
Puerto Esperanza (2007)
He is the editor and writer for Nuestra Gente, a
monthly magazine of history, legends and chronicles
of the northwest of Mexico.
